The two-hour "How-To Xelos" online workshop for the "Innovative Hochschule" (Innovative University) projects took place at the end of April. The workshop was primarily aimed at people who did not yet have much experience with Xelos, the intranet of the "Innovative Hochschule". A total of nearly 60 people took part. The intranet enables the funded projects to exchange information with each other, enter event announcements or network in topic-specific groups.

The workshop began with an experience report by Mr. Bächle from Kaiserlautern University of Applied Sciences. Mr. Bächle had already used the intranet during the first funding period as part of the OD Pfalz project and was able to give the participants helpful tips on how to use it. This was followed by a tutorial by the VDI TZ introducing structure and key features of the intranet platform. The participants then completed smaller tasks in several moderated breakout sessions and gained practical experience. For example, they learned how to create cross-project working groups and events, distribute tasks and maintain their own profile. A training video on the use of Xelos was subsequently produced.

The IHS intranet platform Xelos is used by the universities to establish and maintain a network connecting the respective projects. Among other things, they can use the platform to exchange information on transfer formats and to inform each other about interesting events in the context of transfer and innovation at the universities.
